29 Statements About What Reclaiming Power Means & What it’s NOT

Jun 14, 2022

Over the past twelve years, I’ve been a little obsessed with self-help books. I don’t know if it started with getting lost in libraries whilst I backpacking around the world, my fascination with philosophy, maybe it was studying psychology, or wanting to understand how my own trauma has shown up in my life but if I’m honest, it’s probably a combination of all of them along with a deep curiosity about human behaviour and how we can better ourselves. And what I’ve learned is what it means to choose the path to reclaim my power.

But I want to start with what it’s not. It’s not chasing this idea of perfection. You know what I’m talking about. We all chase it in some way. whether it’s being the best mum, the health freak, high achiever at work, or the supernatural nicest person in the world. I’m sorry, it’s just not that.
